Preheat the oven at 350°F or 180°C.
Lightly brush oil in a loaf pan and line with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, sieve together all the dry ingredients. Keep aside.
1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour, ¼ Cup Cocoa Powder, 1½ tsp Baking Powder, ¼ tsp Baking Soda, ¼ tsp Salt
In a another bowl. take peeled bananas, mash to very fine consistency.
2-3 Over-ripe bananas
Add sugar, oil, yogurt, vanilla essence and mix well. Beat for 2-3 mins.
½ Cup Plain Yogurt/Curd, ¼ Cup Olive Oil, ½ Cup Brown Sugar, 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
Add the flour mix, chocolate chips, walnuts and fold lightly. Reserve some chocolate chips and walnuts for topping on batter.
¼ Cup Chocolate Chips, ¼ Cup Chopped Walnuts
NOTE--Add milk only if the batter is dry. Add milk 2 tbsp at a time so that the batter doesn't get runny. I did not add any milk, as there was enough liquid to bind the batter.
¼ Cup Milk(use if required)
Transfer the batter to the loaf pan/baking pan. Top with the remaining chocolate chips and walnuts.
Bake in preheated oven at 350°F or 180°C.
After 35 mins. check with tooth pick if the bread is baked. If it comes out clean take it out. But, if there is a batter sticking to it, bake for another 10-15 mins.
Check again with tooth pick before taking it out.
Once the bread is done, take it out of oven. Keep the pan on the counter for 2-3 mins. then carefully demold it from the pan.
Cool completely, slice and enjoy.
