Green apple Jaljeera is a delicious summer drink made with green apples and Indian spices and herbs. It is a variation of the popular Indian Summer Drink Jaljeera Aam Panna made with Raw Mango made with fresh mint leaves and Jal jeera spice mix.
You can keep few finely chopped pieces to add to the drink.
Add other ingredients and about 1 glass chilled water. You can add ice cubes also.
2 tsp Raw Mango, 8-10 Fresh Mint leaves, ½" Fresh Ginger, 1 Green Chilli or deseeded Jalapeno, 1 tbsp Jaljeera Powder, 1-2 tbsp Jaggery Powder, Black Salt as per taste
Blend smoothly.
Serve garnished with a green apple slice and more mint leaves.
Serving Suggestions
Serve Apple Jaljeera in cocktail style. Mix salt and red chilli powder and keep aside.
Now take a lemon slice and rub it along the rim of the glass. Then coat the rim in salt and chilli mix.
Add ice in glass then the drink. Serve it immediately.
Notes
You can peel green apple. I like to keep the peel as it adds more fibre to this refreshing drink.
Add chilled water.
Add lemon juice or tamarind water if you don't want to add raw mango or it is not available.
You can use dry mint if fresh mint leaves are not available. But, I will advise to use fresh mint leaves which adds a refreshing fresh taste to this summer cooler.
