Apple Kheer

  • 500 ml Milk
  • 2 Apples(medium)
  • ΒΌ Cup Almond Flour
  • Sugar to taste
  • 8-10 Raisins(Golden)
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder/Cinnamon Powder


  • Take a heavy bottomed pan, add milk to it and boil milk on medium flame. Once first boil comes, simmer flame and let it cook for 10 minutes.
  • Add almond flour or almond paste, and mix it. Keep on stirring the bottom so that milk doesn't get burned at bottom. add raisins to it.
  • Meanwhile peel and grate 2 apples(medium sized), and in another non-stick or heavy bottomed pan add very few drops of desi ghee, and saute grated apple to it. Cook doe 2-3 minutes.You can skip ghee and cook apples without it too.
  • Once milk starts to thicken , add cooked apples and sugar to it. Mix well and let it cook for another 5 mins.
  • Garnish with more chopped nuts like almonds and cashew nuts.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and refrigerate once it cools completely.
  • Serve it chilled topped with finely chopped nuts like almonds and cashew nuts or more finely chopped apple pieces.
