Ingredients

  • 1 Mango
  • 2 Passion Fruits
  • 3 Cups Water
  • 2 tsp Tea Leaves or 2 Tea bags
  • Lime for Garnish
  • Handful of Mint Leaves for Garnish

Instructions

  • Boil water in a pan, add tea bags or tea leaves in boiling water.
  • Switch off the flame and let the tea infuse.
  • Strain tea in a jar/pitcher and keep it in refrigerator to chill.
  • You can also use mint leaves to garnish your tea. I didn't have any so skipped it..
  • Cut mango in cubes. Slice passion fruit into half, then take out the pulp with the help of spoon.
  • When tea is chilled, mix the fruit puree with tea and serve in glasses or keep till serving time.
  • Strain the seeds from passion fruit pulp through a strainer. Collect pulp in a bowl..
  • Puree mango cubes and passion fruit pulp.
  • Take out the chilled tea, add fruit puree to it.
  • Adjust the sugar level, add simple sugar syrup or any other natural sweetener like honey/maple syrup/agave nectar
  • Serve chilled tea with lime/lemon slices or mint or basil leaves.

Notes

Adding any liquid sweetener or simple sugar makes a difference in the taste. Do not add sugar in chilled tea.
To make simple sugar syrup, add boil 1 part water and 1 part sugar. cool and refrigerate to use. Can be kept for a couple of days.
If Passion Fruit is not available, use only mango.
Can use canned puree in place of fresh mangoes.
