  • 5-6 Bread Slices
  • 1 Cup Grated Cheese (Mozzarella + Cheddar)
  • 2 +1 tsp + tbsp Butter
  • 3-4 Garlic Cloves
  • Fresh Ginger(½" piece)
  • 1-2 Green Chillies or as required
  • 2 tbsp Finely chopped Coriander/Cilantro optional
  • 2 tbsp Finely chopped Bell Peppers optional
  • 1 tsp Crushed Black Pepper
  • Chilli flakes as required see notes


  • Make paste of ginger garlic and green chili. Use mortar pestle . You can use store bought ginger garlic paste and chop green chilies. Bu fresh ingredients give much more flavour.
  • In a bowl add ginger garlic and green chilli paste., cheese, 2 tsp butter, black pepper, chopped cilantro and bell peppers.
  • Mix all the ingredients very nicely.
  • Take the bread slices and cut the sides.
  • Apply very little butter on one side.

Cook Cheese Chilli Toast on Tawa/Griddle

  • Heat a griddle and lightly toast the buttered side. Keep a check on the flame, it should be low to medium else bread may burn.
  • Once the slices are toasted, take off from the griddle and carefully apply the cheese mixture on the toasted side.
  • Now again switch on the gas and lightly butter the griddle/tawa.
  • Carefully transfer the slices on it.
  • Keep the flame low and cover the slices. Cook till cheese melts.
  • Take of the heat. Cut diagonally.
  • Serve hot with your favourite coffee or milkshake.

Cheese Chilli Toast in Oven/OTG

  • Preheat oven to 180°C for 10 mins.
  • Bake toasts for 5-8 mins at 180°C.
  • Cut diagonally and serve hot.
