Healthy Flatbreads for Kids
Healthy, nutritious, soft to chew flatbreads for toddlers and for everyone. Made with the goodness of Semolina, Sattu(flour of Barley or Black Chickpea) , carrots, spinach and yogurt, all kid-friendly nutrients.
Servings: 2 Flatbreads
- 1/2 Cup Semolina
- 1/2 Cup Sattu any other other gluten-free or nutritious flour will be good.
- 3/4 Cup Yogurt/Curd
- 1/4 Cup Fresh Paneer/Indian Cottage Cheese or Ricotta Cheese
- 2 Tbsp Chopped Spinach
- 1 /4 Cup Grated Carrots
- 1 Tsp Fresh Cilantro/Coriander Seeds
- 1/4 Tsp Cumin Powder as per taste
Mash the potatoes well, mix with paneer.
Add all the ingredients and knead into a soft dough with yogurt.
Divide into equal sized portions. Roll each portion in a circular dish of required size.
Heat a griddle or tawa, and cook from both sides. Apply little desi ghee while cooking.
Serve to kids and even to elders with yogurt or their favourite chutney. For toddlers, you can make small bite-sized portions and serve them.
These make a very healthy breakfast option. Add onions and green chilies when making for grown-ups.
Any other multigrain flour can be used. If you can't find Sattu add chickpea flour.
In place of spinach, finely chopped methi leaves can also be added to the dough.
