Super Cool and Refreshing Mango and Passion Fruit Iced Tea recipe with tropical mangoes and passion fruit

Mango and Passion Fruit Iced Tea

Need a perfect drink to beat the summer heat!! Try this Mango and Passion Fruit Iced Tea with you favorite summery flavors Mango along with Passion Fruit. No artificial flavors, no color enhancers.

Who doesn't like a glass of chilled Iced Tea in hot summery afternoon or evenings..

Some like it strong and some like it light, but one can't say No to Iced Tea!! Especially, if it is flavored with their favorite fruit!!

I love to have Iced Tea on hot and humid summer afternoons or evening, but with any of my favorite fruit flavor. I know for many nothing beats the Classic Black Iced Tea with Lemon and Mint.

Strawberry Iced tea, with my homemade Strawberry Crush or my daughter's favorite with Peaches!! Mango Iced Tea with Mint is another favorite.. this time I made it with Passion fruit. Few days back while doing grocery shopping, I saw Passion fruits, at Whole Foods. but sadly only 2 were left.. so i bought those, kept in refrigerator and forgot about it.

Benefits--Passion Fruit and Mango

Passion Fruit is a tropical fruit that can be found all over the world. In India it is mainly grown in North Eastern region (purple variety) and along Southern parts in Nilgiris, Coorg, Malabar areas(yellow variety).

It is gaining popularity now especially among the health conscious people. Though tiny in size, these are loaded with antioxidants, Vit-C and A and fibers.

Mainly used in desserts, juices or salads, you can also enjoy this tangy fruit in yogurt too.

Love the combination of mango and passion fruit and you can use it in making ice-creams like these creamy Mango and Passion Fruit Paletas , hot sauce from Mayuri's Jikoni, mousse or simple lemonades.

Mango, one of the most popular tropical fruit is called as the King of fruits in India. Come summers markets are flooded numerous varieties of mango. Eating fruit on it's own as it's own charm but so many mango dishes are also made, mostly used in desserts like Mango Kalakand, shakes and smoothies Mango Thandai Lassi or cold drinks but one can relish savory dishes like Mango Kadhi

Mangoes are rich source of Vit. A and C and a good calcium supplement. So use seasonal mangoes as much as you can when available.

Let's see how I made Mango and Passion Fruit Iced Tea

To make Mango Passion Fruit Iced Tea , brew tea. You can use, any loose tea or tea bags( or green tea bags) I used an Indian Brand (BaghBakri).

To make Mango Passion fruit puree, blend together mango and passion fruit pulp. You can pass the pulp through a mash strainer, to separate the seeds. Seeds are edible and you use it to garnish your tea.

Add puree to chilled tea.

Serve tea chilled with ice cubes(optional).

Notes..

Adding any liquid sweetener or simple sugar makes a difference in the taste. Do not add sugar in chilled tea.

To make simple sugar syrup, add boil 1 part water and 1 part sugar. cool and refrigerate to use. Can be kept for a couple of days.

If Passion Fruit is not available, use only mango.

Can use canned puree in place of fresh mangoes.
