Creamy Spinach dip with the goodness of Spinach Greens, refreshing Mint leaves with Cream Cheese and Sour Cream

Try this creamy dip for your parties and gatherings serve with chips or toasted naan bread slices. You can also use it as spreads for sandwiches and rolls/wraps.

A quick and easy and that is ready within minutes. Make it ahead of your parties. It can be served not only with chips but also with starters like Aloo Poha Tikki, Paneer tikkas(Basil Pesto Paneer Tikkas), any other tandoori snack or pakoras( vegetable fritters).

It is healthy this healthy and delcious dip can be used as spread for rolls and wraps and used as sandwich filling with fresh veggies like lettuce leaves, cucumbers, carrots and tomatoes.

What we need to make this creamy Spinach and Mint Dip

Fresh Spinach and Mint leaves, Cream Cheese, Sour cream, some lemon juice, Chaat Masala.

Chaat Masala is an Indian Spice mix, used on snacks, fruits, grilled veggies or yogurt preparations (raita). In case you do not have chaat masala , you can use Lemon Pepper seasoning Mix. It adds up a tangy lemony flavor to dishes.

Can I use Raw Spinach for the dip

We can use raw spinach leaves but it should be properly washed and dried on kitchen towel. No water or moisture should be there.

You can also use blanched spinach or puree and even frozen spinach. Thaw Frozen spinach before using it and squeeze out extra water from blanched leaves, and then blend with mint and mix in sour cream and cream cheese.

How long can I store this dip

It can be stored in refrigerator for around a week, in an air-tight container.

Substitute of Sour Cream and Cream Cheese

Use Greek yogurt or hung yogurt/curd if you do not have the above two. For Vegan version you can also use any plant based yogurt or cashews nuts with spinach. Soak cashew nuts in warm water before making paste.

This spread is so colourful because of the greens. The sour cream and cream cheese would add a lot of creaminess.

I love sour cream in spreads. Along with mint and spinach, this one must be even more delicious! Perfect for wraps and sandwiches and even our aloo tikis.
