Indian Desserts/Mithai Collection
This post is divided into different sections like Puddings/Kheer, Ladoo and other Mithai items, chocolate desserts and fusion desserts.
One of the most important ingredient to make Indian desserts is Khoya or evaporated milk solids, which is used in many recipes. You can buy Khoya from stores or make at home. Preparing Khoya in traditional way takes lot of time, so I make a quick batch of homemade khoya using my recipe. Click on the link for homemade Khoya recipe..
When pressed on time I prefer to use Almond Meal/Milk Powder/Milk Mawa(available in Indian grocery stores as a substitute for it. It also gives the authentic taste like the ones made with Khoya.
