Doritos Chilli Paneer... made using Paneer nuggets with Asian sauces.
Another version of Chilli Paneer one of the favorites in Indo-Chinese Cusine. This is made with any kind of nuggets available. I had some homemade paneer nuggets in the freezer, so used these. Fry the nuggets, saute in Asian Sauces( Soya sauce, Chilli Sauce, and Tomato Sauce). You can use chicken nuggets and make a Chilli Chicken kind of version. Any kind of store-bought nuggets work fine with the recipe.
It is a simple recipe if you have some nuggets in the freezer. Make these for your parties and serve to your guests, everyone is sure going to like this and ask for the recipe. You can also make nuggets 1-2 days or even a week before the party and freeze it. No need to thaw the nuggets, just fry it and saute in some sauces with garlic, onions, and bell peppers.
Let's see what all we need for this and the method to make it.
Ingredients:
Paneer Nuggets as required
Onion--1/2 cup cubed
Bell Peppers(use any, I have used Green capsicum)-- 1/2 cup cubed
Garlic(finely chopped)--4-5 cloves
Soya Sauce---2 Tbsp,
Tomato Ketchup--2 Tbsp,
Chilli Sauce--1 Tbsp,
Green Chillies--2-3(optional)
Cornstarch--1/2 Tbsp
Oil for frying nuggets + 1 Tbsp
Note: Please increase the amount of sauces and other ingredients depending on the quantity of nuggets.

If you are using frozen nuggets, heat oil in a thick bottomed pan, and fry the nuggets directly after taking out from the freezer. No need to thaw it. Fry on medium flame.
Mix the sauce in a bowl and keep aside.
Make a slurry of cornstarch using 1-2 Tbsp of cold water. Mix well so that no lumps are formed.
Heat oil in a pan, and add garlic, saute for a minute, add onions, bell peppers, and green chillies.
Add nuggets and mix.
Add the sauces and mix well. Finally, add the cornstarch slurry.
Cook for 1-2 minutes. Garnish with spring onion greens.
The procedure can look a little long when you have to make paneer nuggets from scratch, but the end will totally be worth giving a try.
