The Best Thai Peanut Sauce Recipe | How to make best Thai Peanut Sauce/Dip

Thai Peanut Sauce

Thai Peanut Sauce is an easy peasy and so quick to make, rich and creamy sauce from Thai Cuisine.

Made with just 5 ingredients, make this lip smacking Thai Peanut sauce is perfect side with grilled veggies or Thai inspired rolls and wraps.

Making this is super and a one step process. All you need are the few basic ingredients in your pantry.

You can use Thai Peanut Sauce as dip with your veggies salad platter or as marinade for satays or dressing for salads and noodles. The sauce can also be used for stir frys and is a great accompaniment with any protein based preparations.

Ingredients to make Thai Peanut Sauce

Peanut Butter- Use any good quality rich creamy Peanut Butter store bought or homemade will be good.

Substitute for Peanut Butter- If you are allergic to peanuts then you can use Almond Butter, Sunflower Butter or any good nut/seeds butter.

Garlic and Garlic- I like to add fresh garlic and ginger in my Thai peanut sauce, these add so much of flavour here. You can also use store bought ginger garlic paste in the recipe.

Also, you can only use garlic powder(1/4 tsp) and omit ginger if you want.

Soy Sauce- Prefer low sodium Soy Sauce. For Gluten-free option you can use Tamari Sauce.

Chilli Sauce- Use it for the spicy kick Sambal Oelek or Sriracha Sauce. Adjust the sauce as per your heat tolerance.

You can also use Chilli Garlic Sauce. When using it, you can omit fresh garlic as too much of garlic can overpower the taste of sauce.

Sweetener- Raw Cane Sugar, Coconut Sugar, Jaggery Powder, Honey or Maple sugar all are good to go in your peanut sauce. Vegan can avoid honey and use any other preferred option.

When using sweetened Peanut butter, adjust the amount of sweetener used in the recipe if you do not want too sweet sauce/dip.

Sesame Seeds or Sesame Oil- A tsp of Sesame seeds or a tsp of Sesame oil, will be great to enhance the nutty flavour. It is optional and you can skip it.

You can also substitute a tsp of Tahini in place of Sesame seeds or oil.
