Advantages of having Air Fryer at Home

Investing in an Air Fryer is one of the best decisions that we can make for our kitchen. This kitchen gadget is so handy and there are so many options available nowadays. It can be used for baking, as a substitute to frying (one of the best) and roasting the veggies, snacks.

  • Air frying cuts down the amount of oil used for deep frying snacks.
  • Deep frying certain food items may produce some cancer causing compounds. Air frying reduces the risk of formation of such compounds.
  • No standing over the cooking dish and continuous monitoring.
  • Use it to crisp the frozen food instead of deep frying which is more fuss, quick and more health friendly.

Air fryers are handy kitchen gadgets and do not occupy much counter space.

Use your Air Fryer in everyday cooking and you can even bake cakes and muffins as per the capacity of your Air Fryer.

Ingredients to make Air Fried Roasted Peanuts with different spice mixes

Raw Skinned Peanuts- Raw Peanuts are the best choice to use for the recipe. If you are using peanuts without skin then the air frying time can differ.

Oil- I prefer adding very little oil, use any good quality plant oil like Olive, Avocado, Rice Bran etc.

Indian Style Spice Mix for Roasted Peanuts- Red Chilli Powder/Cayenne Pepper, Salt. You can also add a bit of Chaat Masala to perk up the tangy taste. Adding curry leaves enhances the taste and gives a South Indian touch. You can skip curry leaves if these are not available.

Spicy Mexican Mix- Homemade or store bought Peri Peri spice mix. Add the seasoning with little amount of oil so that it coats well on peanuts.

Black Pepper Powder- Freshly ground Black Pepper powder.

Garlic Flavored /Restaurant or Pub Style Roasted Peanuts- Garlic Powder, Red Chilli Powder/ Cayenne Pepper Salt, pinch of sugar.

How to remove the peel of Raw Skinned Peanuts

To make peeled roasted peanuts, air fry the raw peanuts without using any oil in Air Fryer. Take out in a separate dish or plate. When the peanuts are warm enough to touch then rub off the peels from the peanuts. It comes out easily when peanuts are warm. Then dust off the peels/skin or use a sieve with slight big holes like the one we use to strain rice water(rice strainer). It takes a bit of time, but you get fresh homemade roasted peanuts. (Will soon add a video for reference)
