Baked Pasta in creamy White Sauce with Veggies
Favourite among kids and adults alike, a very filling meal paired with garlic bread. Baked Pasta in creamy white(Bechamel) Sauce.
Kids love pasta with or without veggies. They love to take it for lunch as it is quite easy for them to finish it off. Baked pasta is pasta made in regular way with creamy white sauce, cheese and bread crumbs and baked till bubbling hot.
Served hot with garlic bread it's a comfort meal for the cold winter evenings.
It's middle of June and 2 days back weather suddenly turned cold with heavy rains.. the nip in air, and the feeling of having something warm.. Kids had gone for a birthday party and two of us were there for dinner. I thought making soup with noodles or khichdi.. A straight no from him!! "Make pasta" he said .. though he is not a fan of creamy cheesy dishes but the when I said creamy white sauce pasta he somehow didn't say .. maybe that day he just didn't wanted to have khichdi 😉 It was end of week and I had very few vegetables in refrigerator and half bottle bechamel sauce that I had recently made. Decide to make baked pasta with my homemade creamy bechamel sauce with garlic bread with baguette that was in freezer.
Though I had extra pans for washing but then I too love pasta and when there is bottle of homemade sauce in refrigerator, it is a no fuss meal prepared within few minutes.
Creamy White Sauce for Pasta
I used my homemade Bechamel Sauce. I always (try) to use homemade sauces and masala in my meals. Anytime in my refrigerator you will find one or two bottles of homemade sauces, jams and bhuna masala. These come so handy especially for quick and fuss-free meals when you are back form outings, late kids activity classes or want something made in jiffy.
For homemade Bechamel sauce click here. You can use any store-bought sauce or the creamy Alfredo sauce..
